For those of you who experienced slow benchmark speeds, have u checked your reported sata transfer rate? Mine is showing 3gb/s which is odd as all my ports are sata 3 and switched to other drives without problem. Only the Intel sad. Sometimes I will get 6gb/s reported transfer rate, only then will the benchmarks be as it should. But after a few hours, speeds will be halved and showing 3gb/s

Agreed, for price at amazon for intel is gd enough for me and 5 yrs warranty.

If my intel 530 is my OS drive, can i just click the upgrade firmware button and update to the latest firmware?

For comprison sake, I've an older Intel 520 series 120Gb and on my AMD APU platform using latest AMD AHCI drivers I can hit Seq 510+mb read and 470+mb writes on AS SSD benchmark.

From the moment I press the power button on my casing to show Win8 login screen about 10sec.
