DBS offer a interest rate of 0.3% and 1.28% for my 2 USD FD accounts. nonetheless, still better than 0.

In terms of bubble, due to the simulation package prepared by Uncle Sam and also look at buffet index (177%)

bubble or not am not sure, but at least, now it may not be cheap.

Seeking your advice on how I should get my feet wet in today’s “not so cheap” stock era.

Thanks!
yea hence don't transfer all into IBKR first. because if u transfer USD out, there's an inward remittance fee

you mean stimulus package? well hence DCA right. cause we will never know if it will get more expensive.

Care to share more on the inward remittances fee? I remb IKBR allow one free withdraw per year. Feel free to supplement me.

If I transfer 50k USD to IKBR, then I guess the monthly inactive fee will kick in given my balance is below 100k USD. Correct me if am wrong.

Noted on the DCA thoughts, we can never predict the future!

Fees seems to be very low. May I know what this fees is?
The bank incurs a little cost in managing the American Depositary Receipts (ADRs), so there's a tiny fee.

Also, I got international trading Charles Schwab account from my company. They charge 0$ fees as commission and theor SGD to USD exchange rates are also good, however, it takes 3-5 days for transfer to happen. I was wondering if it is worth to move my stocks from IBKR TO Charles Schwab.
If you're not a U.S. resident or U.S. citizen, no, probably not. Interactive Brokers offers lower cost currency conversions and low cost access to the popular Irish domiciled/London traded funds. Those are significant advantages. However, if you manage to persuade Schwab to issue their fabulous Visa ATM/debit card linked to your account, do that.

DBS charges inward remittance fee of I think SGD 10 for foreign currency.

i dont have ssl

i think its their server side

are you using IBSG or IBLLC?

im absolutely sure it has nothing to do with lock and exit
lock and exit will prompt u with a timer when the time is near

for this issue, it will disconnect u and attempt to reconnect..

Yes I can also cfm its not related to lock and exit.

FYI if you restart your stuff the downtime is actually just ~2 min

I can't get into IB platform. Seems like everything not working on my side. Website, mobile app, desktop app all fail to work.

Both IBKR US and SG, the fund transfer mechanism is the same? I don't really like the transfer mechanism and looking for perhaps FAST transfer without having to key in multiple fields and verifying them. If the IBKR SG can allow FAST, I'll do the account transfer to SG.

Same mechanism

Thanks all for sharing on margin trading but somehow I still don't fully get the calculation. I've been monitoring my MTD interest amount, it's negative cause I borrowed but the negative value doesn't seem to compound or increase everyday, am I missing out something?

Can someone help with the math, say for $10k loan (usd at 1.5%), is the daily interest $10k x 1.5% / 365 (with daily compounding) ?

your calculation should be close. not sure how they charge.. i never use more than 20 cent before
