Intermitten auto restart

just try set to peg, still cannot boot up when using integrated graphic card. and when plunged in dedicated graphic card with setting peg, the PC cannot boot up too, I have to reset the bios to default then the system can boot up.

As for the Ram test, both ram tested also reboot, one thing is if with just one ram the reboot is faster then when two ram in the system.

I guess have to make a trip down to SLS and look for nigel

Today I went to visit Nigel for help, he told me base on his experience, most of the time is the motherboard issue, therefore he replaced motherboard for me to bring home to test, he also find out that my CPU fan is not feedbacking the turning rate, so he replaced one for me too for testing, so far tonight I tested so far so good, will update again, thanks again for the advice from bro's here.

so far no reboot, so now is decision to get a new motherboard or wait for the repair of the current faulty motherbaord which take 6-8 weeks ( I had called the MSI service call and asked the time) .

If let say I decide to get a new motherboard, any suggestion ? my current CPU is LGA1151 quad-core I5-6600 3.3GHZ, any motherboard that can support this and for current new generation CPU too ? just in case next time can upgrade to new CPU, thanks

Intel made it so that the new motherboards, Z370 doesn't support older 6th gen/7th grn chips although technically, all use same socket. If you want to upgrade to Coffee-Lake, 8th gen intel, need to buy new CPU and Motherboard too.

If you buy back motherboard that supports your i5-6600, which is Intel 1XX and 2XX motherboard... Will not support Coffee-Lake.

Just a final update I hope, the problem with my desktop is really a PSU , have already replaced a new PSU since it is still in warranty, thanks for all guys advice and help
