Hi experts ! ,

I have a DIY PC that has this strange intermittent issue where no display is shown upon boot-up. It will only display when i turn on the monitor after 3-4 seconds of pressing power on (wtf?). If i turn on the monitor earlier or later than this 3-4 second window timeframe, there would be no display shown and my monitor will indicate as "No signal".

I have isolated the problem away from the monitor / display cable as i tried connecting the monitor to my laptop with the same display cable to it and it is fine all the time.

This is absolutely strange and I have no idea how to diagnose or troubleshoot ? Tried re-seating my graphic card as well but the issue persists.

Any suggestions on how I should proceed or recommendation for a tool to stress test my systems?

I'm suspecting possible defective graphics card / power supply based on this behaviour ...

graphics card model : Palit GTX 660ti brought from TradePac
