Internet access in bangkok Hotel

Hi,

would like to check how is the internet at bangkok?

would be going for around 5 days trip, but would need to use teamviewer to remote access back PC in Singapore for work , isit ok:s11:

Most of the hotels I stayed in before (Glow, Berkeley, baiyoke etc) has free Wi-Fi connectivity and most of the cafes/massage places has free WI-FI as well. So i guess internet connectivity shouldn't be too much of a problem in BKK

Have stayed at the following hotel:
Five stars:
- Renaissance (Super Strong)
Four Stars:
- Mode Sathorn (Super Strong, router inside room)
- Centrepoint Pratunam (internet ok)
- Grand Diamond (Strong)
- Amari Residence aka Lohas (Cant connect at all)
Three Stars:
- tango vibrant (only one hour free internet)
- pratunam pavilion (wifi speed ok, everyday must get password)
- Baiyoke Suites (no free wifi)
- Budacco (Strong)
- myHotel CYMK (wifi weak)

Is better for you to buy Sim card.
AIS and dtac got internet package for 299B for one week :)

Airport can get free wifi, but only can use for one hour . Some area not strong lo :)

get the happy tourist sim 299baht, rather stable 7 days of unlimited internet access (3G / GPRS) and able tether if you bringing your laptop.

airport level 2 got dtac and ais. You come out of custom, you will see people q up :)

i will be making a trip to Bangkok this weekend before heading to Chiangmai to visit my Uncle.

Can the DTAC or AIS internet sim card be use in Chiangmai?

get the happy tourist sim 299baht, rather stable 7 days of unlimited internet access (3G / GPRS) and able tether if you bringing your laptop.

i got the 1 month DTAC Tourist card. cap you hat 6GB for 3G after that speed will be limited to 384KBPS. to boost it to 1GB is 150baht.

Checking my March bangkok hotel, found that Holiday inn got promo ...
Holiday inn Bangkok one night two ppl around 112
Holiday Inn Sukuhumvit 22 one night two ppl around 110
Centara grand centralworld is 113 no bf, 125 with bf.
Have booked Furama sathorn for one night two ppl with breakfast.

i'm doing it right now. usinga DTAC 1 month prepaid card. but it gives me 6GB boosted internet speed. once up it goes to 300+KBS which i need to pay 150baht to boost it for 1GB so i could watch my youtube show.

Think some hotel wifi are stronger, some are weaker. For example my mode sathorn hotel have router inside the room, so wifi is excellent :) But sometimes at toilet, reception is low lol ...
