Anyone able to share their experience on buying pre-builts from Invader and upgrading components? Their pre-builts listed seem ok but some components are iffy makes you want to swap.

The price quoted for the upgrades seems like there is additional cost built in to discourage swapping of parts.

Yep I did but was wondering about the reasonableness of the quote. With the price of parts now doesn't seem very good to DIY so guess it's smth that you have to live with for pre-builts

By now everybody should already realize DIY will not be cheaper than prebuilds. If you are price sensitive, then go for prebuilds, if you are sensitive to parts brand or design then go for DIY and pay up. Prebuild parts are procured in large quantities, usually in the range of hundreds to thousands compared to DIY parts in the range of tenths. Prebuild PCs are also assembled and tested in advance to move and sell fast. Any modification to the prebuild bundle will take up time and manpower to complete which is very costly in the eyes of the retailer. So yes, the upgrade cost is to discourage users from making modifications as much as possible.

Chill lol. Saw a bunch of reviews/posts about the aftersales support if needed. If you say the pre-builts tested then better to not change lor

As above, they will quote you the amount to top up via whatsapp. They got some weird verification which I don't get the point after your order is ready.

Changed the based mobo to something better.

Not sure what other things you want to know.
