Regarding first post, I can confirm that the phone will lag probably due to indexing or caching. Give it a few days and that should go away.
looks different from the apple 2FA support site leh

i only have the 2 step verification option available but no 2FA?
You don't have the "Turn on" option because it's already turned on.
The rescue email can be added separately in https://appleid.apple.com (:

IPhone needs a few days to index and cache meh. I doubt so.. That can be done easily within the first few hours even if you have a large capacity..

It does
Since now it has to go through all your photos too to create the memories and stuff.

Just did iCloud backups for my 6s Plus and iPad mini 4, both don't have a lot of things in there so it took a few mins. But my primary phone (7 Plus is still currently backing up and 30+GB of capacity used time left about 2 hours??
Strange thing is that I activated iCloud backup on my iPad this afternoon in office and my holiday photos disappeared, then upon returning home I did the iCloud backup. Then I connected it to iTunes and selected backup to this computer and the photos started copying back.
Does that mean it'll always remove from my iPad upon iCloud backup and have to repeat syncing back via iTunes? I don't backup my photos in iCloud though.![]()
It shouldn't disappear.
Did you turn on iCloud Photos Library?
The iCloud Photo library is the option to upload the photos to the cloud.
Could double check that your photos are being backed up to iCloud as well? Settings -> iCloud [name] -> iCloud -> Manage Storage -> Backup -> This iPhone
It's not turned on as I wish to back it up via iTunes instead.
I've purchased the 50GB iCloud storage as even though my photos library wasn't turned on for iCloud backup, there's still not enough space for backing up. But now it's 4hrs estimated, really need so long?
Yea the initial backup will take some time. How large is your iPhone? 256?
Place your iPhone nearer to the access point or leave it alone overnight. The backup will kick in overnight when your phone is charging.
For those under beta program and updated to ios 11 GM, are we expecting a new update again later? the official one?
thanks
Strange it shouldn’t take that long. Just leave it alone perhaps it could be your upload speed but it doesn’t make sense to have your other devices faster though.
Maybe try rebooting if it still shows unusually long hours. Then leaving it alone to backup.
I highly recommend updating WatchOS overnight. It takes a really long time haha.
Anybody notice the home button delay while exiting apps?
