IOS question

say my current iphone 5 is using ISO 6.1.4 , and i do a back up on my PC, if i change to Iphone 6, which use ISO 8, will i able to restore my data to the new iphone 6 ? Since the back up was in older version of ISO, is it compatible?

Technically there shouldn't be an issue. However your iOS is 2 families behind, therefore you might anticipate some incompatibility issues in terms of settings.. you might want to double check if your settings are set correctly on iOS 8.

user data wise, shouldn't be a big problem, should be able to restore seamlessly..

hmmm.. so i guess my best bet would be to update and install the new ISO into my iphone 5, back up , then go and change iphone 6... right>?

yup. i would try this first if i were you. unless other users here have access to 3rd parties software then its a different story..

Some apps may disappear without u knowing as it's not supported by newer iOS

Else app itself can update via itunes

Got issues. My nephew's phone was on 7. Backed-up and restored to 8,

1. one game, League of War did not restore the data properly.
2. Restriction pin not accepted anymore. Says invalid.
