I'm a iPhone user and planning to move to Galaxy S4. My current iPhone set up is detailed below. Can this be done in Android?

CURRENT SET UP:

1. I have 2 seperate gmail accounts. One is a 'personal' account while another for 'business'. In iPhone I access them via 2 gmail apps
2. The contacts, appointments and calendars are different for each account but they are kept combined in iPhone contact & calender app and synced with outlook on PC

Basically, I want to access / keep the emails of 2 gmail accounts separate while have a combined contacts, appointments and calendars. How to do this in android? Thank you.

Just enter the main account in during setup, then add the secondary account in settings. Emails will be separate, and synced contacts/appointments/calendars will be combined in their specific apps, just color coded to indicate which account they are from.

Huh? Those items from BOTH accounts will appear combined in their respective apps.

When you create a new item in those categories, you can choose which account you wish to create them to.

Android phones use a primary gmail account to sync all your contacts/mail/etc. When you start your phone up, you will be prompted to enter your gmail account details. I suggest you use your personal one for that.

In the Gmail app there is an option to "add account" so I believe you can add your secondary gmail account. However, I don't have 2 gmail accounts so I can't say much else on how the contacts/mail/etc in your secondary gmail account will behave.

Hi , Android can do all of the above automatically except for Outlook contacts sync, in which you can download a free utility to do that, or you can just find an APP in the google play store to achieve that .

After you login with your first gmail account, go to settings -> accounts -> and add your 2nd google account, the rest of the sync works will follow.

I think you better try other Android phones before trying GS4. If you feel it lags on GS4, don't blame Android, blame Samsung. :o
