iOS vs Android

As a user of both 5s and s3, I feel I can chip in my opinion. The s3 and most androids in general have bigger screen, better media compatibility and straightforward drag and drop file operation. Ios still has better app choices, refined overall interface and smoother app performance.

Expandable storage applies on certain android phones. But apple's hardware and software tight integration seems to result in more polished apps.

Tried both Android and iOS.

Personally, i prefer iOS over Android, just personal preference.

Did try and play around with Note 3 for quite awhile (few days ) with a part time job i had , really nice screen with good specs.

At that moment i considered the note 3 , but thinking about my past experience with android, still went ahead with Iphone5s due to personal preference.

So , it really all depends which OS you prefer (Mainly).

I recently just change from 4S to Galaxy S4, dont ask me why im still on this forum though. But my advice is, go to the shop and feel the phone. If you are a person who knows how to google, you can easily customise your phone to your liking. But whether you would like the new experience is purely your own personal preference.

me is 3Gs -> S2 -> 5S

why i go back to IOS.

1. camera (samsung photos the colors very out. if u put side by side, i still prefer apple photo colors)
2. IOS dun have so many crash error pop ups unlike Android or rather none of these error pop ups. Android just reminds me of windoze with those pop ups.
3. point 1 is enough to make me go back!

I used S2 and currently S4. Used ip5 and getting ip5s soon. I played a shirt while with a note 3

My view is, if u like 1 hand operation, simplicity, ip5s is to keep. Ip5s is also good for games. If u are doing anything light, ip5s is ideal as you will not need to bring along portable charger.

Note 3 scores for watching movies and playing games, which of course means that u will need extra batteries or portable charger.

Both are excellent in their own rights.

both oS got it good & bad ppint
if he really doubt go get a used android yo try unless he got deep pocket
like myself I actualyvwant to buy a ip5 just yo try allthoigh I did use a 3gs before haha

iPhone 5s & iOS pros:
- Intuitive and nice general interface
- Convenient TouchID
- Good resale price
- Can still be updated in next 3-4 years
- Pocket friendly
- Slightly better user experience (Camera app, Music app, other apps)
- Great build (if use naked)

Note 3 & Android pros:
- Big screen (good for movies, games)
- S-Pen
- Top choice among Android phones, great battery
- Files management
- Leather back

By the way, why don't you jump back and forth if you like to experience both =)
I personally don't prefer to carry two phones. Very troublesome. And pay everything (phone + line) double also..

Aesthetically iPhone is better built. Good resale value too when compared to Android devices.

Android is not all about customization..
Its the deep integration between 3rd party Apps
and the OS , make it a more productive phone system

For my daily usage, I could get things done
much faster on a Android phone then iphone
and i think that notification in ios is still far behind Android

many nowadays expect the phone to be "smart".

actually for me, if a phone can make phone call, read emails, send messages, surf net, watch movies, listen to mp3 and lastly play games... is good enough.

i dun need a very big screen (i rather use my mba with keyboard) nor i need very fast speed (i am not touching up photos on my photo just light edits).

so IOS suits me.

one thing that irks me on Android is that it gets slower and slower as time goes by.... memory management doesn't seems to be as efficient as IOS. there is always some memory "disappear" (eg total memory 2G but left 500+mb, the rest dunno go where). and as Android ages, more pop up error like windoze OS.

that's something unpleasant for a phone.

Android is like Windows to PCs, one OS for different manufacturers while iOS is solely for Apple's iDevices!
