I am using the iPhone 5 and just got the note 3 for my wife.
Both are blazing fast devices and works well.
The only thing is which os do you prefer?
I for one prefer the iOS as its smooth and the sound quality, camera and built is superb. Backup over iCloud is also seamless and fuss free.
My wife prefers the andriod for its more open architecture, more shows avail on qvod, pps etc and the much larger screen. The ability to attach files on email also a plus.
To each his own. No right no wrong answers.
Both are great phones anyway.
iPhone 5 is blazing fast? You kidding me? I tried the 5S in store, very disappointing. In order to make the iOS appear smooth, apple make it slow. It take 1s to open an app on iOS but 0.5s on android. Android allow the new hardware to work as it should, which is much faster. But iOS is disappointing slow, pick up a 5S and 5C side by side, their speed are very similar.
Sound quality? Couldn't tell a difference even on a side by side comparison, many android devices use a wolfson DAC internally so to say Apple devices sound better is really pushing it.
Camera? Compare apple 8mp to any android 8mp, i would say the apple device is really good and better but comparing to the new gen of 13mp by samsung, i would say the quality is comparable, apple camera no longer have the advantage.
Built? Let me just set the record straight, my iPhone 4 home button is spoilt within a year, my gf's 4S spoilt slightly over a year even though she barely use it (rely on the onscreen button to off the screen), my colleague's iPhone 4 not only have an unusable home button, even the power button, volume button are all spoilt because he map the home button function to those buttons. The build look nice and solid but the quality is **** up at best, i haven't even seen an samsung phone with a spoilt centre button. Since then i avoid Apple phones like a plague, my gf also opt for a non-apple phone after that. It just piss people off when the most important button stop working.
