Hi.

For Singapore, do we still have to refrain from upgrading firmwares ?

Currently my Yi Smart Webcam runs on firmware 1.8.6.1B
I keep getting a popup for version 1.8.7.0C, but no idea if that is safe for users out of mainland China ?

Also I am facing another issue :

I recently connected my cameras to Android instead of previously iOS. On iOS I could receive quite reliably the activity notifications through APNS. But on my Android phone I don't receive any push at all upon movement detection, even if the settings are ON.

Is that a known issue ?

I just realized one thing : are google push notifications disabled when using mainland china locale ?

What's the diff between xiaoyi dome cam 1080p and mijia 360 1080p. Camera?

Been using the first one (Local version) for almost 2 years (720p version) one keeps breaking down and must go service. Upside is can update firmware etc no problem with support.

Is mijia as good? Can it track moving people and is the field of rotation as good also? Since it's much cheaper does it mean cannot update firm.ware?

i have gotten the XM router 3 and the XM mini router, both cannot set to push the recordings to the flash drive that i have attached.

How did you manage to connect to store the clips?

Just to update those using synology nas can use it with xiaomi 1080p cam dun need mi router tried it work

Dun need to flash ur firmware it work right off the app. All file save in mp4 format can store up to 3 mth

I am using ds218j, but i tink any nas will work cuz it treat it as storage device and nt ip cam


Go to manage storage

Select nas as long as ur nas can be detect by ur network / pc, ur nas will appear. After tat key in user and pw. Done

don't be confused here, the xiaomi 1080p ip cam and xiaoyi ants are similar in form factor here, but totally different inside. It supports nas by default, that's why can connect to any nas. It also has 5ghz wifi on top of the 2.4ghz and BLE gateway.

I have already given up on the xiaoyi and already made ordered the ip cam instead

sounds like a firmware issue. some firmware are wonky.
