Mi Home Security Camera 360° 1080P

Dear All,

I purchased a Mi Home Security Camera 360° 1080P few months back. It was working fine all along. I'm able to view the camera when I'm outside, and when i'm at home, no issues connecting & viewing the videos at all.

Recently, before going for an overseas for 2 weeks, switched off all electrical devices at home. Upon arrival after 2 weeks, released that I'm unable to view the camera when I'm outside (on 3G/4G) network. The image keep on loading and stuck at 5%. I have tried installing the Mi Home App on another mobile phone and encountered similar errors. Reinstalling the Mi Home App, add/remove the camera also to no avail. Upgraded the firmware as well, still not able to resolve the issue!


But, when I went home and run on my WiFi network, it works perfectly. Any ideas what is wrong? Why am I not able to connect to the camera when I'm outside?

which i bought from lazada.

understand that i have to select China for region.

everything works well except the speak function, understand this xiaofang allows 2 way communication.

I can listen over the app but just can't speak.

The app will prompt me an error which say to turn on the rights for recording call.
i tried to contact the seller but he proclaim he is new to this, hence can't resolve the issue.......

I have not tried speaking using the app through the xiaofang but I suspect yr problem is you are using andriod phone therefore u need to go to settings for the app to access recording etc as prompt by the app

yeah, its from andriod phone..

i tried, but there's no such settings..

Hi all, is it possible to use powerbank as extension to connect the camera? The cable length is too short and I was thinking is it possible to use a power bank as a middle point to connect it? Will it explodes if continuous charging??

Advice on cloud storage?

Hi all,

Usually just a silent reader but need advice from kind souls right now.

Purchased 2x Xiaomi Mijia 360 cameras as we recently engaged a domestic helper - and also purchased cloud storage for 1 unit, but it doesnt seem to work after purchase.

can anyone help or share your experience? thanks!

Does anyone know if any of the advertised NAS storage works with any nas storage or need specific way of storing it?

e.g. must use xiaomi NAS?

I see the IMI ptz international version states nas storage, microsd, cloud etc.

Not sure if anyone here can share.

Looking to upgrade if the newer versions can record to nas storage directly.

Bought the mi home security camera 360 lately. When I'm using 3g network outside it will load to 20% then error is offline.

I noticed that even when I don’t have the mi home app running, occasionally the camera will move around on its own and the yellow led will turn on for like 15seconds. It’s a bit creepy cos scared other ppl got access to our video feed

Anyone else notice the same behaviour?

Hmmm don’t see that in the app settings. But I did have baby crying and motion detection on, so lemme turn them off temporarily n see if it changes anything, thanks!

I have 2 mi home security camera 360 and notice that both camera always go into auto sleep mode. I did not set any sleep mode schedule at all. It will just auto go into sleep.

Anyone always have this issue? I assume is the mihome app itself as it affects both cameras automatically.
