Hi people,
Just wondering no one is bothered by the heavy booming resonance of the iPad Air 2 when using loud speakers?

I personally went to try it out and found the heavy vibration when using loud speakers a bit disturbing. My hands got tingling sensation after prolonged gaming on the iPad 2 sio....

I'm not trying to nit pick over here but seriously the other iPads does not vibrate so much. It's like holding on to a boom speaker and it's quite uncomfortable for long usage. Some may like it for gaming or so but seriously it's very bothering and disturbing.

I read other forums and quite some people returned their iPad air 2 because of this issue.

Seriously quite sianz man, if not I think this is the perfect iPad till date.

Please share whether can this heavy vibration be dampen when u all are using a back case.

I think there won't be such thing called perfect iPad. Every iPad iteration has its own "gate". It depends whether you can Rahman tahan the imperfection anot.

I don't own an iPad Air 2 yet. Went to the shop to check it out.

Compared side to side vs an iPad Air, it does vibrate alot more. However I'm not too sure how much will it bother me and if it will be a deal breaker. I don't usually use the speaker and definitely not for prolonged periods of time, so it is not that big of a concern I THINK. Yet again 5mins experience at a shop doesn't really show how annoyed I will be if I use it everyday.

Still waiting for more user experiences / apple's response before I buy one. Perhaps late next week. No OOS issues anyway.

I do hate the vibrating. That is why i never really use it's built in speaker. Lucky I have two portable speakers in my disposal.

Initially, I was negatively surprised for that vibrating issue because the iPad Air 2 is way too thin.
But after a day or two, you get used to it. In fact, I ENJOY getting the free "rumble" PS3 controller feature while playing games, and tactile "boom" feedback while watching movies hehehe. Still, this is the best iPad to date ...Infinity Blade 3 and Asphalt 8 is silky smooth and I Own3d in multiplayer racing :pP
Lastly, you are going to get a casing anyway, that will insulate the vibrations and I bet you won't feel a thing. Issue closed.

I think its an unfortunate by-product of a thinner and lighter form factor. In a case, I think it should not be that bad. For me, I think its fine since I hardly use the speakers.

As someone here mentioned. There's no perfect iPad. In fact there's no perfect whatever. It's only perfect in your own opinion if there's one.

I've learnt long time ago. It's ok to accept certain degree of imperfection, subject to what is acceptable to you. Of course for those who are truly a perfectionist freak, then, life, in IMHO will be "tough".

As for the "quirks" of the iPad Air 2, it is as it is. It's not a design flaw in my opinion. So get it for what it is. But if it bothers you, then, skip Air 2.

Anyone have compared battery life with Ipad Air ?

Apple claims 10 hours - the same as iPad Air

Even though the battery is 15% smaller, A8X is more power efficient and the display is now laminated so it uses less battery too
