iPad charger on iPhone safe?

hi guys, the iPad charger is 12W, iPhone is 5W.. if I use my iPad charger to charge my iphone, will it charge faster due to the higher watt? and is it safe? will my iphone able to handle the wattage and not blow up?

iPhone will only draw what is required from the charger.

I heard the power will drain even faster also.. some ppl complained their iPad battery life low, thn change to iPad charger problem settled

Me too. I've been interchanging both charger when charging.

In last generation Mini came with an iPhone charger.
The new Mini with Retina display comes with a higher rated charger which can be used by both your iPhone and iPad.
