I am planning to get a ipad pro 11 inch. Planning the switch after a long time android tab usage. In my previous iPad (think iPad 9) my frequent used apps Shopee, Lazada and all were just an iPhone app with an option to zoom. So most of the apps were poorly scaled and not full screen. Is it still the same?

I have the iPad mini and also the 13' iPad Pro. I have had used 11' before but find the sweet spot at 13'

Did anyone upgrade from an iPad Pro 2020 to an M4 iPad Pro? Is it a worthwhile upgrade?

Unfortunately, YES.
Still horrible mega-zoomed Iphone apps on IpadOS: Lazada, Aliexpress.
Horrible mini Iphone-sized apps on IpadOS: Shopee.

Still like that.. Can't believe its not optimized for the last 4 years plus at least.
I think Apple refuse to implement workarounds for IOS developers and wants them to properly optimise their app for IpadOS. So lazy Ipad app developers are being exposed.

Yes. As long as you are not on an M chip, the upgrade is worthwhile. In addition, can plug the iPad into an external monitor and use it like a desktop. The weight is also significantly lighter.

Is there any case for iPad Pro M4 11 inch that is light enough to not offset this model’s lightweight and still provide good protection?

I used mine with the original folio case, and relied on AppleCare to give me a peace of mind. If I drop and damage it, I am prepared to get it replaced for a fee.

Not very IT savvy. Is there a big difference between the ipad pro series and the ipad air series?

where can i get the best deal for the iPad Pro M4?
There are bnib sealed IPad Pro M4 sets on Carousell which some ppl are willing to reduce by 10-20%. Most common model is 256GB wifi only. Next most common is 256GB Wi-Fi + Cellular.
If you’re not in a hurry, just be patient and check Carousell regularly.
Just make sure the listing shows the actual serial number or screenshot of the warranty status or AppleCare+ expiry date if owner bought AppleCare+.

Edit: Beware that pics showing a iPad box that’s sealed but with serial number deliberately masked out may mean the unit is actual not bnib unactivated. Taobao sells iPad and iPhone paper seals so if a neighborhood shop claims their units are bnib sealed and yet don’t show the serial number for you to check the current warranty status from checkcoverage.apple.com, it could be a red flag.

For Apple products they are expensive. Think should not take risk. Just pay a bit more and buy from Apple Store.
