By right. Tax should be an one time payment to IRAS. Iras allow installment via giro but if many ppl keep paying partially via ipaymy , they most likely will plug the loop holes.

If I use Ipaymy to pay for monthly tax, if my payout date I put on the 5th of every month, will it be in time for iras to skip the giro deduction for that month (iras deduct on the 6th)

probably not ... bcos payee gets the payment only 2 days later

Ipaymy may take few working days to pay the vendor. I just initiated a payment which will only be paid to vendor on Wednesday, sometimes they may just take 1 working day.

Furthermore, iras will need time to update their records, so better put in your payment before the previous month end.
Dont forget, this fri is a public holiday.
Try to put it in today to play safe.
If you want to take the risk, would b great if you could share your experience.
