I always charged my phones to 100% till recent weeks ,I have adapted the habit of charging it to 80% to maintain the battery longevity
Anyone same like me?
more so of doing the same to iPhone that costs 2x more than an android phone
speaking of this.
whenever the batt hit below 50%
I’ll just charge it till 95%

I won’t go anywhere below 20%. some people said it will easily spoilt the batt. I’m not sure

Adopt the practice of charge and use between 20%-80% and you’ll be good.

Shortcut widgets actually jiak battery too
I feel quite ok leh. Mine put on the main screen, whenever I need to turn off Bluetooth or wifi, just press and done. But I think also depends on what kind of shortcuts. If those automated one, it might be waiting for time before triggering. Mine is manual trigger, so should be ok.

I actually thought charging under 20% is a better habit. not ah?

Should be fine as long as it’s not less than 5-10%.

Li-Ion batteries just don’t like staying on extremes (too low and too high charge).

4th day using 13PM and had 3rd charge
First cycle from 76% used to zero
2nd from 80% till 20%
Charged to 80% and unplugged at 3am
Till now, 54% left 4.5h SOT
So basically I am using the phone for 60% of the battery daily since 30th sep

my usage is only safari browsing and music over headphones
the standby is better than android
Using a 15w charger and a 3rd party cable to charge

Guess its normal. For my previous IP12PM, my phone heats up badly when using chrome or safari when surfing HWZ. YES ONLY WHEN SURFING HWZ. Not sure why. Have not really use HWZ on IP13PM yet so no comment on that.

You meant the best is charge till 80% and not 100%? Also when better charge when not lower than 20%?

Yes if you want the best mileage out of your phone battery and longevity.

It’s not “wrong” to let it charge to 100% or let it drop below 5%, it’s just bad for the battery to stay within that charge for too long.

So if you charge your phone to 100% but plug it out and use it, that’s fine. If your battery is down to 5% and you will be charging it soon, that’s fine too. Don’t leave it on standby at those extremes.
