It’s been a really tiring purchase for my IP13 Pro. First time in my long usage of apple products do i feel mentally tired and pek cek.

Bought an iphone 13 Pro using the instal plan (mistake made. Should have bought cash). Took a month to be delivered to my place.

Upon delivery, tried setting it up. All good. But then realised phone connectivity when its not on wifi is an issue. Pages/app loads with much lag. When on wifi no such issue. Being an apple user, i sensed something was wrong immediately.

Contacted Apple online and to my horror, the SA advised me that i shouldnt compare the IP13 pro with my Iphone 11 Pro max as both are on different materials. I was dumbfounded. Shouldnt IP13 work BETTER? Decided to head down to Apple store.

At store, service was better. SA went through the steps with me and advised what needs to be done. SA ran diagnostics and couldnt find anything wrong though he himself could see the lag was very obvious. Offered to do an exchange but no stocks in the store. Referred me to another Apple outlet.

Went to the outlet, was told i couldnt do an exchange cause mine was under instalments. Needed to do a refund then repeat the process. I was thinking WTF, wait another month????

Came home to do the return. Was referred to the sales dept. SA scheduled a call back (earliest is tmw 8am). Wasted my whole weekend solving an issue which i feel is very unfortunate. Why can’t apple be easy on all these refunds + exchanges? Serious waste of time. And i paid 2k + apple care for this. Just feel like using my IP11 and save the money + lousy experience.

Anyone else experienced similar sorts?

honestly this shouldn't be the case. I think you can do a clean install of the iOS and it should work as intended. The chances of having a failed hardware out of the box is quite rare..

For a iphone purchase that cost over S$1K plus, it's better to use credit card to earn more points than using cash.

Pleased to know you manage to settle your issue.

Seems like phones released during COVID don’t have the same quality checks as before…

an example is iPhone 12. Many have reported that the battery life is worse than iPhone 11 and that the performance is just as similar. The only exception is camera

I am sticking to iPhone 11 (pre covid) iPhone for now.

How much can you earn from the card? At most 1.5% cashback which is about $25

actually I don't think that's got to do with quality checks, but more of how they design it.
