Just wonder if just mine. But while charging & using at the same time, at the back of the phone is very hot.
Even without charging, the phone itself feel warm on using...

It’s normal when you first restored the phone. iOS needs to do caching. After a couple of days will be fine.

No need to worry. Just remember to get off hands when feeling burned. My iPhone does this all the time.

Can differentiate from the 1st alphabet of your phone model number under settings->general->about.
M=new unit, F=refurbished, P=personalized(w engraving), N=replacement unit

Usually when you unit there is a problem, within the refund period you can immediately got a replacement. I did a refund and purchase again.
So it not a gray box and diff serial number to it.

When I was MBS, there is already been 3 person having battery issue waiting for the exchange.

After 3 days of usage, morning charge 100%, with screen always on, heavy usage on whatapps & imsg, taking picture and GPS bus navigate, web browsing and Facebook.... consider moderate usage... iPhone 14pro max still hold the power of 53% at 7.30pm...

Personally I will recommend you try the beta 2 ... And at the same time you can log the call with apple that you having issue and requesting a replacement. For now they don't have extra to make a replacement, so you might have to wait.
But at least you log the call
