iPhone 2FA is stupid

Just wanna share my experienced today.

I lost my phone at home today. Couldn’t find it. Was on silence mode. Searched everywhere also cannot find.
So I decided to log in web version of find my iPhone to enable the lost sound.(because it is loud)

guess what? Bloody hell, it asked me for OTP or key in the 6 digit from another device . I don’t have the phone how to get the OTP?
If I really lost the phone outside, how to turn on this sia? Or how to login without OTP?Anyone can enlighten me? Apple stupid or I stupid ? So my suggestion to everyone is turn 2FA off. Otherwise you will be fk hard

No leh. Otp are only needed if u want to view photos, contacts etc. For find my iPhone, u can access without the need to key any otp. The icon for find my iPhone , Apple pay and apple watch will be visible while the others will be lock out as u didn’t key in otp.

As for myself, I got includes my wife Hp number as alternate number so that in event I loss my phone, the otp can be send to her number instead so that I can view/ download photos etc. Not that I need it as I already got iCloud to save all photos and data at cloud.

At the OTP page, click on Find iphone.

Other icons will be lock if no OTP key in.

heng i got multiple apple devices so if misplace one can use another to view otp
this has never been an issue for me
