I have one iphone 4, the lcd recently has lots of horizontal lines and afew days ago, went totally black. I tried connecting it to itune, and it sync as normal. I trying doing some screen shoot for the blackout screen and when i sync it to iphoto, the photo shows my normal iphone screen and not black screen.

So is it safe to say that my LCD touch screen is already up the lorry liao but the phone is still operating fine?

If this is the case, I just need to get the lcd screen replace right?

Actually I am already using the new iphone but pondering whether to repair the faulty lcd of this old set since the phone is still working fine.....

Anyone in this kind of situation before???

Hey ....i am in the same situation as you! My iphone 4's screen can still be seen, but it is moving up and down and also there are some lines....i hope its the screen problem too....do you know of any good repair shop? If the cost of replacing the screen is too ex, then i probably will just use the sim card for surfing on my ipad since i have another line...

Seems like our phone is programmed to start having this problem after x years...haha

Guess it's destine to fail after x number of years no matter how good you took care of it.

I've been looking around for trustworthy iphone repair service and checking the price for lcd screen replacement. The range is around $60 to $70.

Read some positive reviews from Playurconsoles (@Gold Miles Tower) for iphone repair. Thinking of going there, or if i dun have time, might drop by Mobile Work at Tampines, which is near where i stay.

But i'm still wondering if it's worth to get it repair since it will be my spare set for now......

So you are going to repair urs?

Yup..am thinking of going to this one which is near my workplace: Locate Us - iRepair

I read the posts on their facebook page - seems quite good. Wondering if anyone else have experience going to them for repair. Don't know how much though...hope its within a low range.

Same here also. guess my scenario same as camoguysg.

seems like iphone 4 LCD just reach its EOL.

playmyconsole has the cheapest pricing of all...

but i am only worried after repairing the LCD, something else will be faulty again :/

anyway i dropped my iphone 4 and that is why the LCD went cranky. the screen did not break.

Think from their website, the lcd replacement is $65...not sure if there's any other charges such as the fee for replacing and etc

Have u tried their services before?

Nope not yet!

Too busy now to get it changed.

I asked for prices around a few of the regular trusted repair shops. 2 quoted me $110/120 but amazingly only playyourconsole quoted $60-$70.

I think it's ok if it's around $60 to $70.......but anything above $100 is no way for me

Ok I m quoted $75 for changing the LCD at irepair. I have decided to go ahead cause transport up and down quite troublesome. Take note that they only accept cash.

Thanks for the update bro. My friend recommended me to go to this one man shop at Tampines. Since too lazy to travel to town, I drop by his shop today to get my screen replaced. A friendly and skillful guy, within 20min, he manage to dismantle and assemble my iphone with the screen replaced and it comes with a 2 month warranty. In the process, my not-so responsive home button also become much better now.

Now I can understand your that brand new feeling tooo....:s13::s13: Will be using this set as an itouch to listen to music and surf net....and as a backup :s12:
