Hi all, my iPhone 5 power button is gone now and I can't lock my phone each time after I use it

I don't have apple care...

Can someone recommend me someone/somewhere that can reliably replace my power button?

You can still lock your screen if you enable Assistive Touch. Go to "Settings" --> "General" --> "Acessiblity". Look for "Assistive Touch" and turn it on. You will see this little grey square that has a lock icon when you tap it.

You will be able to lock your screen using it. That way, you can still lock your screen even if your power button is not working. I am assuming you are not looking to power down your phone, and of course that your home button is functioning as well.

unless you bought your iphone 5 on the first day which is sept 20th last year then unlucky for you your warranty has expired.
do a quick check here for the warranty date https://selfsolve.apple.com/

i also had the power button issue and got it replaced with a new set last week from singtel as my warranty was due on 3rd oct. after replacing they give you another 90 days warranty.
