Hi guys, looking for a spare iPhone and have nailed down to iPhone 5c. Anyone here owns one and how's the reviews of it? Saw refurbished sets and would like to use one as my spare set.

Not wise go 5c as iOS 11 don't support it any more
At least get a 5s

New apps created may not be backward compatible.

Old apps may decide to move forward and stop supporting legacy iOS versions.

It rly depends on what is the purpose of the spare phone.

For my case my spare phone is a iPhone 4s. Can use as personal hotspot for my phone and my wife's phone but slow only. 4s support until iOS 9. But can use grab and uber which is good enuff for me when I'm overseas.

So, rly depends on your purpose. If one day grab and uber stop supporting iOS 9, that means I also have to change my phone.

My spare phone is iPhone 4. iOS 7. Can WhatsApp, carousell and clash royale and movie box and airplay to Apple TV. It's good enough.

Still won't advice lor what if the app u use normally say no more Supprt due to 64bit on ward like only 5s on wards

Means even. U got a old app it won't even run it then u wil be gG need pay more for new iphone

This is why android still lag behind as they will half half 32/64bit

Apple push hard for it and it make long term easy only short term user will suffer
