Iphone 5s battery life issue

Hi, jus upgrade my phone from iphone 4 to iphone 5s and found that the battery life deplete alot compare to iphone 4. How do i save battery life? Can help?

It was reported it is a known issue with some some iPhone 5s that their batteries are having issues. Perhaps you can call Apple and check if your serial is one of those affected.

Off background app refresh. Off location services. Push email set to manual. These 3 settings when done could save u considerable battery lo.

My batt can last 5-6hrs usage time. Standby time always more than 1 day

try to off those appls running on background and set to 3g and 2g
and ON 4g if needed

mine last 2days or more
while my s4 can only last 1days at most or just half a day ahahh

even just both 5s and s4 standby after charge example at nite

both standby mode

5s on 3g
s4 on 2g
the next morning
5s stil 100%
s4 down to 96%

My 4g is on 24/7. I can't stand toggling on off 4g, esp when it's not in control centre whereby u can flick up from bottom to toggle.

I want instantaneous speed. 5s LTE signal is sooo amazing. Twice as fast as iPhone 5.

for me still OK as most of my website no need 4g unless needs then I just toggle

I never believe in turning off 4G when i have a 4G plan and a 4G enabled phone why should i?? Else i just stick to my 12GB 3G plan instead of the miserable 3GB that i have now.

But i do turn off background refresh and if i know i am out for the whole day without my mobile pack juice, then i will also set my push mail to manual.

I will only off my 4G when despo time calls for it... like i am still outside at night but my battery is less than 25%, then i will off 4G. Else 4G is always on.

I just do a clean state and never bother about the toggles of WiFi or 4G or whats not.
4G and WiFi has been turned on since day 1 and my battery goes beyond a normal day of usage.

means the phone has stand-by(ed) 38 mins since u unplugged the charger

I am testing trick from macrumor

Unplug your phone and once reach 99%, charge it back to 100% and keep it till 10 minutes.

I'm currently at almost 4 hour usage with 18.5 hour standby with 66% remaining. Well I put airplane mode last night for roughly 9-10 hours.

Still, it's good usage time, never been this good. I normally get 7-7.5 hour usage with around 26-28 hour standby (no airplane mode).

I'm on 3G all day and turn off wifi and 4G. Push email, no paralax.

So u mean is to discharge until 99% ? Then plug it back to 100% and remain for 10 mins before unplug?

so far my 5S seems to have much better battery lifespan as compared to my old 4S... maybe because 4S takes up more battery if running ios7? but then it already drains up fast before the update to ios 7..

for my 5S i save battery by turning on reduce motion, lowering the brightness, off wifi and bluetooth at all times usually, and also off background app refresh for most apps..
