Hi guys, my iphone was just 3 months old and recently it has been draining the battery quite heavily. I have tested and in standby mode, it can only lasts for 12hrs and with normal usage like surfing net, it can only last for 2hrs. Even after I do a full wipe and create as a new phone, the problem still persists. Need help here. TIA :s11::s11:

??? So what are you waiting for? Exchange with the telco and get a new one. :)
If you done your basic - network reset, and did a "reset all setting",
Mine pervious iphone 5 got for 2 days and it drain 2% very 1min. Got it exchange by m1.

ohh... but if I go to telco, can I request just to replace the battery instead of the whole phone? As I know, a one-to-one exchange, they will replace your new phone with a refurbished set. :(

Hardware issue
Maybe uncall apple n ask if u can get a brand new set not refurbished if u return his since they acknowledge some batches have battery's issues
Tell them u not happy to get refurbished set for lemon phone? Call apple directly n check first over phone. Call the Singapore number
Change battery only don't think possible ?

yeah! I will give them a call on Monday and ask. to me, the battery usage is just ridiculous. it even drains more battery than my 3GS. lol

haha..alright. but doesn't it sound ridiculous that it can drain 50% battery just overnight. just too extreme. IMO

<update> went down to com center today to service my iphone. I was told that they dont give refurbished sets for iphone 5S if its faulty. They went to do through diagnostics on my phone and realise there isnt any fault with the battery or the firmware. but they reset my phone to when I first received my iphone and was told to charge for 8hrs and see how it goes. Hopefully the battery doesnt drain as much anymore.:D

think u don't download much apps first
use the built in apps n test things out.
make calls etc n monitor
what apps shld be okay though. don't think they eat battery that much?
