iPhone 5S exchange

Initially qualified for exchange at QCD due to technical issues but denied when they saw a dent. Saying need to escalate to Apple before anything else.
Well to me I think the dent is rather minor.
What are the chance of it being approved?

my friend had a similar situation with the iPhone5. singtel denied. called apple. apple had to refer to technician to get advice. and in the end, it was still denied.

yeah the dent is minor, but isn't that big.
I hope apple do approve, can't live with random reboots and extremely slow wifi and cellular connectivity.
Will have to resort to second hand shop I guess.

I came with worse and still got mine exchanged. Anyway, dents can't really be a reason for them to deny, warranty does not cover cosmetic damage as in they don't replace the ugly parts, it doesn't mean that they don't cover phones that have cosmetic damage. It depends a lot on how you talk to the staff as well.

thanks bros. all went well and she even took out the replacement form until she spotted the dent... I'm going to email to Apple personally if denied.

You should make a call to Apple/request for a call appointment from them. The person from service center actually recommended me to make the call/get appointment when I sent my iPad in for repair with a dent (quite bad actually, considering screen partially lifted up, but glass intact).

What's going to happen is that the technician from Apple end will have to assess the damage, in my case I sent photo images; but the rest is up to how you talk. I managed to get a replacement for the note so yea it's possible.

I have a dent similar to TS, I told apple support on online chat that when they asked what's the physical condition of the iPhone. He suggested and arranged a call with Express Replacement service which is free for all Applecare+ users.

My problem is that opening applications are very slow and I cannot pick up phone calls when the application is lagging.

They will hold $848 in my card until they received my iPhone 5S. Thing is, I am afraid that if they conclude that my problem is caused by accidental damage, they will return me less than what they hold on my card.

Any comments?
