Hi bros.

I was trying to find information on the different holders for iphone 5/5s in the car but there seems to be really alot of variations.

Any bros here have any brand to recommend? I am kinda skeptical about the cheap ones as I am scare they might fall off the windscreen or car dashboard.

Would appreciate some inputs.

Thank you!

Use proclip is the best.
Sit nicely on your car model.

Cons: customised for the phone model and car model.

Anyone know what car holder can use Iphone 5s to record video. Most gps holders keep shaking.

I wonder how do those go pro cameras get mounted without shaking

I use this:

Steelie Car Mount Kit

Won't use anything else after I've used this. Speaking as an ex-proclip user since 2009.

This is much better than proclip. Simple, uncluttered, not noticeable when not in use, unparalleled range of motion. Love it.

Wife immediately wanted one too for her car after seeing how it works.

thanks for sharing..I understood that this Steelie uses an adhesive-based magnet system..but I'm concerned with the 'bump' at the back of the mobile phone..won't there be a slight bump when the phone is placed on the table/desk?
I stick the magnet on the case instead of directly on the phone. That way, if I have to, say, attend a function where slimness of my phone is important, I can simply just leave the case in the car and have my phone naked.

Yes, normally when I use the phone with the case, there is a slight raise when you put it on the table, but it does not bother me at all. It's still stable.

The best "side effect" of the magnet is, I can stick it on anything that's metal. I find this very useful. In the gym, I don't have to leave my phone on the floor like most people, I can just stick it anywhere (at the side of my bench, anywhere on the squat rack, even upside down on the pull up bar...).

The magnet is pretty strong. I have left it on the roof of my car and forgot about it, and drove from Marsiling to Tampines. It was still there.

I just love it.

Where can I get it ? & what's the damage ?
I ordered it from the website, had it sent to my daughter who lives in the US, and she sent it back to me.

Otherwise, the shipping is pretty expensive.

But now that I have used it, I would still pay for shipping even if I have no one to send it back for me. It's that good.

i don't like it. I think because my dash is not flat, my phone fell off the steelie twice. I have learned not to turn too quickly when using the steelie.
