iPhone 5s/ios 7 problem help!

Hi guys I'm using an iPhone 5s running ios 7.0.2

When I'm using safari, I cannot open links in the background by pressing and holding to bring up the options - this only happens on the LEFTMOST SIDE of the screen.

I can click and use it normally though... But when I press and hold at the left edge it never brings up the option... When I lift my finger it will open that link though.

Anyone having the same problems??

Edit: realized this happens on the right edge of the screen when using safari too... Anyone else share this problem or is it only me?

When you press and hold a link safari will highlight it. But when I do the same on the left edge of the screen it doesn't highlight the link as well

my ip5s vibrates a few times for nothing. is this normal? i'm on iOS7.0.2. before the update happened.

Too near to the left or right edge you mean? I assume its cos of the swipe to go back/forward feature.

I guess they thought that you want to swipe to go back when you touch so near the edge. Try it: press and hold on the left most of the screen, no highlight, while keeping your finger there, move a little to the right. You can see the page attempted to load the previous page

It's due to the left side is "reserved" to register move to previous page. Some web developer complaint about this. well, sometimes I also accidentally go back to history instead of moving left, wish there's option to disable this.

Hmm Gary I don't seem to have this issue... At most I "think" my phone vibrated in my pocket but actually it's just my imagination lol...
