I debated whether to add this to suchaloser's post (he has a similar problem except that his phone cannot charge at all) but since I have a slightly different problem I decided to create a new thread.
My 5s used to be able to charge from a power bank or from the 12V socket in my car, but no longer. This is strange as the hardware (power bank, car charger, power cable) has not changed. I just get the message "this device may not be supported".
Charging from the wall socket however is still ok.
Any ideas what could be the issue and the solution?
Thanks.

I used the original cable that came with the product, also doesn't work. :(

Edit: I use a 3rd party cable (Valore, purchased from Challenger) to charge from the wall socket, and that works fine.

If your original cable is spoilt & it's within the one year warranty period, you can call up Apple & get a 1-for-1 exchange: they send you the replacement cable & you send the spoilt cable back to Apple.
