Refurbished set with physical defect can be exchange for another set. I went to exchange my iPhone 5S with a very slight scratch at the chamfered edge (Only viewable at a certain angle and lighting) and the Starhub CSO changed it for me without question.

That was a long time ago liao. Now under AASPs, very hard to get an exchange. Last time under telco any reason also can qualify for an exchange one.

Well, he only based it on the time they received the replacement unit. I got a replacement the 2nd day of launch for the iPhone 5S, then I called Apple to verify - and they confirmed it is a refurb set. So, my assumption would be even first batches of replacement unit are refurbs too, and as Eurofunk has mentioned, could be QC failed devices. But you're right, at least the re-used components are still fresh. hehehe

My hunch would be refurbs may still be identified with the model number.
But refurbs are fine as these units have new batteries and LCD, at least. Smells new too. Unless there are dents on the replacement unit, which I heard they won't allow you to reject it? Not sure if true though as most replacement units I got have no physical deffects.

I'm pretty sure you will be able to reject it. After all, its been damaged out of the box.

$350 replacement fee?

$350 is history liao
Now no more $350. Any replacement will be $550 for ip6 not sure of ip6plus.
So the best is to get Apple care plus.
$138+$108+$108 is still way way cheaper than u get a replacement without Apple care plus.

You can go to A.Lab or Singtel. I went to both for heat issue on my 6+ 64 Gold.
Went to A.Lab @Plaza Sing on a Sun morning. Packed with early birds. Waited for 1 hr to be served.
2nd time went to Comcentre. About 5 people on a Wed noon time. Service very fast.

So I suggest you go to Comcentre. Fewer people compared to A.Lab, where it's serving issues with iPhone, iPad, Mac and iMac. A.Lab at Changi City Point is good if you need to service your apple product other than iPhone. Hardly any queue.

Fyi. Managed to get it replaced. It came with an IOS 8.0. According to some, this is likely brand new set instead of a refurb one. Got it replaced at Comcentre.

My iphone 6 got a dark corner at the top. Bought from M1. Should I go back to M1 for replacement?

If its very mild then don't bother. Unless its every serious then yes. For your info, M1 & Starhub now directs its iPhone customers to Authorized Service Centres such as QCD & A.Lab. Only Singtel still has its own in-house replacement centre @ Comcentre.

Not really. I was redirected to A-Lab for a stuck pixel on a new 6+ (Singtel).

And they swap 1-1 for me.

Further info. The replacement iPhone 6+ was in a sealed slimmer white box. I asked the CSO and he said it is a brand new set (ie not refurb). Anyway seeing the IOS 8.0 just confirmed it for me.

All the best to your replacement.

Sorry to bring this thread up again .. Tried to get a replacement set from Singtel due to battery drainage but they denied . Saying that my battery life is good , no need to change ..
And some others issues like apps hang or what ..

They only factory reset it and updated to the latest iOS 8.1.1 since I can't received the update

But my iPhone 6 plus batt life is really bad ..
With usage at 3h 26 mins
And standby 3h 37 mins
This is from 100% to 57% - note : using wifi all the way through. 4G is off throughout this period .
And The most I can only last for 7h plus from 100% to 0%

Any bros can advise wat I shld do ?

Whats your usage patterns like?
Heavy gaming etc?
I believe this pattern is accurate for graphic intensive games.

I'm on a 6 and draining about 20%/hour when playing COC.

From my experience, it's actually relatively easy to get an exchange from Commcenter. Find some other problems such as dead pixel/yellowish screen tint if you really wanna get an exchange.

This one really tak boleh to help. I tried to do the same thing with my 5s before. They just plug in your phone to their computer and run the diagnostic. If diagnostic say pass = pass.. Cannot bomb excuses like before already. :vijayadmin:
