Also not sure is it just my observation or fact?!?!
Aloe of ppl here just blindly follow what ppl say or recommended without knowing what they paying for or buying??
There a lot more than just look to the accessories for devices nowadays if not why so many brand are spending and will to spend into researching into different materials or design.

Actually it's true. A colleague of mine also said the same thing. His claim is that the original glass is actually slightly flexible. By adding another layer of glass on top, it sort of increases the rigidity. Thus drops at certain angles will cause both glass to crack for sure.

I guess having a tempered glass will help protect scratches. But pretty sure drops wil be 'fatal'.

Yeah, fatal to the SP, but saves the screen. Lol
My office one dropped facedown...

actually I oso thought with impact oso both screen will cracks. Glass or just a plastic protector.
I use iphone 3g 4 5 and now 6 plus.. Always finding full coverage screen protectors and bumper only, never use glass screen before as it's expensive last time. Till now nv kana cracks screen before.. And I oso feel there's always a bump/protrude if use glass.. Dun like the feel of it so see see look look lol..

technically, the screen protectors are meant to shield your glass screen from direct impact of drops, bumps, chips and whatnot. i presume the glass which apple uses (i'm guessing some fancy variant of corning's) is shatter-proof, so it doesn't give way and show you the hardware when dropped.

don't quote me guys, i haven't tried it yet.

anyway, the glass protector will/should do the same as the plastic ones we have been using - it cracks/chips/shields the screen from impact. i don't recommend trying it with your penknives but whether it's 8H, 9H or 9.5H, i'm sure you guys are gonna continue shopping for the full coverage glass/plastic screen protector to ensure your original screen stays pristine till you move on to your next phone.

TL;DR: enjoy your lovely phone! plus the manufacturers are making tonnes of money while we rip off an old SP to try a new one. it's all about preference.

P.S. using power support AG. no pics because i'm lazy. no full coverage, but cut-outs are probably the better ones.

Loving my bestskinever front. The adhesive is very strong so I think if using full coverage front also will not be damage by casing.
The protector on a black front look invisible. Cannot see it existence.
Not much smudge or fingerprint but the swiping not as smooth as on glass . Lolx

Thanks for the BSE... I am going to get my phone later...

I used to use glass SP (spigen thinnest) for my S4. Hope the feeling of the BSE is smooth! Else gotta buy another glass SP but preferably damn thin kind... :D:D
