Iphone 6+ can't add gmail?

Impossible...I added 3 gmail accounts on my 6+.

Are you trying to add gmail account in Mail app?

yes i was trying to add gmail account as all my contacts are in gmail, was using android before this.

I tried adding gmail in settings but keep saying my username and password for imap.gmail.com is incorrect.... but i can login with the same set of credentials on my PC

Do you have 2 factor authentication enabled?

Are you using 2FA? If so, you need to get an application specific password for your Mail app
