Hi guys, currently contemplating between iphone 6 or 6s. I am more particular about real world performance of the phones and based on my research, it seems that there is not much of a difference in speed in daily usage between the two. So i was thinking whether it is worth getting the 6s. Any advice on which one to get? Thanks.

It depends. How long do you see yourself keeping the phone? The 6s has 2GB of RAM, so I would expect future versions of iOS to run better on it. Other than that, nothing much. The force touch is a joke.

A bit late, but i've recently used the 6s plus and the switched back to the iphone 6 because i found the phone too big. Performance is noticeable in day to day situation to me. Going back immediately I found Touch ID a sluggish in comparison. Switching apps, launching apps, feels slower too. Gaming performance is a lot better on the 6s too. It's not just twice the RAM, A9 is a lot more powerful than A8 if you go see the comparisons.

Other than that, camera is slightly better, but not a huge diff for me. the other thing will be force touch. I use it frequently to switch apps, and to edit text. Using it to move the cursor and select text is super convenient. Plus more apps are getting force touch support.

If your budget allows, just go for the 6S. it'll last longer if you're planning to use it long term. If not use it until the iphone 7 comes out, sell the 6S and get the iphone 7. Unless you have a tighter budget, then go for the iphone 6.

agree. iphone 6 is most probably going to be phased out in september when the iphone 7 lineup is unveiled.

entry level option - the rumored 4-inch iPhone
mid range option - the 6s/6s plus
high-end option - the iPhone 7 lineup

so u are better off with the 6s.

This is a no-brainer if you are deciding between the 2. Iphone 6s is an upgrade in every way despite looking the same. It is faster and more powerful, it is built with tougher materials, has better camera, new 3d touch feature, will be able to support future IOS upgrades better due to better specs, better RAM management, better touch ID that unlocks so fast and the battery life is also better despite the lower numbers due to better manufacturing process for the processor. Iphone 6s is still very current if you want to upgrade. Iphone 7 is still months away, probably late Sep or Early Oct release, if you are patient.

of course go for 6s. the price difference between 6 and 6s is very minimum but the spec bumped is significant and it is worth it.
