Hi (you don't need to read the background story if you don't want to, not important ^_^ Just read the problem part :))

Background story:

I've recently decided to switch back to Apple after a long long time. I really wanted a 6 plus gold (because i'm used to bigger phones, note 2, note 3) and in 64GB (my telco, m1 doesn't seem to have 64GB gold in stock nationwide the few days that i'm hunting for that phone), so after checking in with 2 shops, i finally gave in and decided to get a 128GB 6 Plus gold (yeah, i wanted gold that badly). While purchasing, my mum decided to help get the same exact phone for my cousin as well.
So being present, it means that you get to 'choose' which phone you want right? tho its the same exact ones.

The one that i was given, at the side of the bezel (white outline), there's a slight slight small black dot and the person tried cleaning for me and couldn't take it off (it's really very tiny that it's almost not visible), the SA told me that its just dust but its like in between the lining(?) so our hands really cant get in to clean it off. So being the typical Singaporean that i am, i decided to exchange it w my cousin's iphone instead (although i inspected mine thoroughly)

I just inspected the outside of the phone since the previous one had a defect on the case (although its almost not visible but still i'm very bothered by it)
I didn't take much notice of the screen at all.

Problem:

Now, after getting home, i started installing apps and what not on my phone, restarted my phone to find out there's a black dot on the screen. Started wiping the screen w my hands to find out that its still there................... At the point, it didnt bothered me as much as i thought it would because i thought it's just a small dot and its only really visible if you're viewing pages (w white background) but man was i wrong.

I was looking at the picture that my friend posted on insta of her and myself today(3rd jan). Then, i saw a mole, i thought i grew a new mole on my face, went to checked, nope. Thought it was dirty, started wiping, nothing comes out. Then finally i remembered the black dot that i noticed the day before(2nd jan).

Now i cannot unsee and and the fact that its not at any corners of the screen bothered me so much (if its at the corners i wouldn't be so annoyed). Its at the middle right of the screen and its so distracting now.

Am wondering what could it be. Could it be a dead pixel? How much would it cost to fix it ):

damn suay

Call up Apple and see that they say, the warranty should be able to cover it.

Which service centre did you go to?

Also, do let me know how long the whole process took. Thanks!

I went to QCD to repair. They say 3 to 5 working days. I just assume max 5 days since they operate 7 days a week. Still waiting for phone to come back.

Let me know. I recently found a small speck of dust in my screen but it is so small that it is not really a bother.

Just me being OCD and wanting it to be clean inside (though my screen is scratched) LOL

If they cannot fix then they will exchange, also depends on the staff i think.

Eg. Touch ID spoil = they 1-to-1

If camera spoil and they can fix they then they fix

Everything can be fixed as long as they have the hardware to replace.

its super frustrating cause its right on the middle right of the screen. It's not as if i'm super picky but having to see that every 2 minutes is bugging the hell out of me. Planning to go down to the M1 shop that i bought and see what they say lor, they cannot do one-to-one right?
And then, i'm having random restarts (like 1 everyday, but 2 today)

My phone was jailbroken tho dk if the reboot could be due my jb (tho i don't have much tweaks at all) that was causing it or its the damn TLC and MLC thats causing it.

Had been so freaking long since i've used an Apple device (my last was iPhone 4 from a couple years back, i've a Mac and iPad no issues)
Switched back to iPhone after sticking w android a good 2ish 3 years cause i missed jailbreaking my phone lul and all these problems are making me regret my decision to come back ):
