When I first received my iphone 6+ without any apps installed except one and only whatsapp, the touch id was very responsive and I was very impressed by this feature. I had 5S before but didn't really activate the touch id on it.

But, after few days of installing all the necessary apps on my new iphone, I found that the touch id has slowed down its performance. Do you guys encountered such an issue? I don't have many apps on my new iphone, total 24 additional apps which I consider less as compare to my friend's new iphone.

Using a iPhone 6 and found that the Touch ID is definitely more responsive than the 5s. Success rate is is at least 90%.

I install quite a bit of apps and touch id working great. Try restore your phone and set up as a new phone.

TouchID works well. Placed my thumb and took about a second to unlock.

HOWEVER. I faced issues when opening my Dropbox with TouchID. But then that could be the app's issue not the TouchID itself.

I don't think it's about registering more fingers or what to speed up performance. I think TS should set up his phone as new then observe whether still got similar problems

No issue for me. Compared to the 5S, this is near perfect.

"Company testers have discovered that the Touch ID sensor will not always respond to fingertips coated in sweat, lotion, or other liquids, an Apple spokesperson told The Wall Street Journal."

Understandable, since there'll be interference. Wipe hand dry before using loh. :p

Anw to OP: using touch ID with minimal issues. And not sure if just me, but my success rate seems to be higher on 8.1 than 8.0.2.

Sometimes is not the thumb sweaty but the residues left on the Touch ID sensor. LOL
