i have small defect on right side of my iphone 6 screen.
went down to Alab at Plaza Sing and manage to get 1 to 1 exchange.

but i noticed the serial no is now start with C.. does it mean refurbish set?
and by the way, does refurbish set meaning lower selling price or what?

it looks like new set to me..

Dont think so as my brand new telco set also start with C......

Same resale value.

Even if they're really refurb sets, they'll look like new as they will repackage it etc.

my defect is like the screen on right side doesn't stick well ie like when you stick something with glue then it came out, so it is from inside.

at the beginning the front guy said he can't change and i say i didn't cause this so it is from the phone, end up he went inside and managed to exchange.
i checked the phone upside down to ensure nothing wrong again..

Nope, refurbs exist now. Even from Day 1. Since iPhone 5S time, as far as I can tell there are ready refurb sets.

if you use are given a set after exchange without retail box, does that mean next time when you do a trade in you get less cos the IMEI don't tally?

Nopes. Resale value is not affected. At least from my experience.
Those ah beng shops that I sell to never compare IMEI between phone and box. Only make sure full box and take down phone's IMEI number.

sold before to shop, they never ask anything, just check phone function, check for scratch or chip

don't even need to give the charger

which is good becoz new phone can have spare charger

Just went to A Lab today since I found out that I have the same problem. the registration told me that a lab doesn't replace phones which doesn't have any functional defect. Now I'm stuck with sunken in buttons
