IPhone 6s blackout

My screen blacked out one week ago.. the phone can still function (ring when called) just the screen can't be used.

And to a 3rd party - initially charged me to upgrade firmware high worked... but screen went blackout again after one night.

Just sent to Apple Store at Orchard. They connected my iPhone to a external monitor and I can still see the screen but when the phone was checked in they couldn't fix it and suggested a replacement phone. I asked for their diagnosis but they just told me calibration failed.

Anyone knows of a solution to this? I'm not really convinced since I was still able to see my screen working from the monitor!

i think apple service centre is just to there to solve simple issues like screen, battery or home replacement .. simple quick fix. any thing more complex, they will try to smoke screen u...calibration failed - i mean what exactly needed to be calibrated?

recently my iPhone photos disappeared, of no reason. it was working fine earlier the morning and then the next moment all my photos are gone. so i tot a simple on and off the phone should solve my issue so
i tried to restart my iPhone and is stuck in the white apple screen of death.

went to the service centre, waited in the queue for more than 1.5 hours and was told that there is nothing they can do to recover the data and can only restore the phone and there is a 50% success rate.

com'on, this remedy i can easily do it via my own iTunes. why could i go to the service centre for a solution that i can easily google and find it at apple community...

they should provide data recovery services...more lucrative $300 onwards service fee.. but i guess they may not have the expertise or the necessary tools for that.
