So i went to QCD to send the phone in. The CS said no electrical charge going in. So have to send in to Apple, for 1 to 1. Could be the charging port, could be the mobo.
Then she said my screen had scratches, so its up to whether Apple want to accept my phone for replacement... What the... My problem now is it cant be charged, nothing to do with screen replacement. Your policy says 1 to 1. I suggested just repairing the port or mobo and give me back my scratched phone, you say cannot. Then u want to deny me cause of the screen. WTF logic is this?

Do you have AppleCare+? If you do just call Apple & ask for express replacement service. These jokers at QCD & ALAB are a pain in the arse.

You do know that logic doesn't make sense for both Alab and QCD.

A Lab employees always assume that everyone whom brings in their device just want to do 1 to 1 exchange cause of cosmetic damage, but those legit hardware issue they should just replace without giving excuses like cosmetic damage as majority of us don't mind to just use our cosmetic damaged device

There is nothing wrong with the operating terms and conditions for the above mentioned service providers. Warranty does not cover any form of physical and cosmetic damage to device. Not happy then don't deal with them lor.

Feeling entitled? :s8: ;)

Don't deal with them, then who to deal with? They are the only point of contact right? No where else to go for Apple warranty in SG.
I know it doesn't cover physical and cosmetic damage. And that is not the reason for bringing my phone in. It's because it won't charge. So the CS lady telling me my phone might not be accepted for warranty because of scratches does not make sense to me. Apple can fix the non-charging problem and return me the scratched phone. I dont mind. I am not looking for a new replacement phone.

Not covered under warranty is in fact a reason to not honor warranty for the affected product. The officer is not wrong to tell you it may be rejected. They don't care if your screen display not working or whatever problem. If your charging circuit not working and screen is broken, I believe they won't on regular terms honor the warranty. And when they do not honor, they don't care if you're seeking for repair or replacement. Get this, not honoring.
