Oh, I misunderstood that he bought non-contract set directly from Apple online store.

If buy from online Apple can refund/replace with no questions asked within a certain time period right?

If Im not wrong within 7 days from the date you receive your iPhone.

rather he refund it and buy again with new black box instead of risking a "new" refurbished set in brown box, not so pretty after all.

Just got my phone today. Home button is not providing any haptic feedback at all.

Called apple hotline, i can only get it changed next saturday 10th Dec at A.Labs PS.

Call them again and request for ERS. Apple will give you a NEW set instead of a refurbished set since your set is still very new within 14 days of their policy.

Refund will incur a 25% restocking fee, not worth it. At least thats what i read online. I considered that option too.

When you call in tomorrow using the 1800 My Apple, choose option 4. Thats the option to talk to the after sales team within your 14 day period for them to replace the phone for you. Dont choose technical support. Sure kena ask u go aasp.

Thanks man!. Apple will send a courier to pick up my phone on Thursday. I will get a replacement from them either end of this week or next week after they analyzed my phone.

my set also they will collect tomorrow.. because there is a big scratch in front... they will replace... but replacement may take a while.. coz no stocks.. sigh

i wonder does apple let you use the phone, while waiting for restocking to come in and then get you guys to return it when there are stocks available for replacement. Yesterday i called them, they say waiting time is usually less than a brand new purchase. I kena once for iphone SE, that time sell like hot cakes but replacement was indeed lesser than a brand new purchase.

What color is yours? mine is matte black. The CSO did say that i can probably receive it next week.

I log into apple website, My replacement is processing already. Probably will be sent out once they have confirmed that my set is faulty.
