IMO just do it. I'd say earliest November / December.

Got my 7+ only in April followed by 7 a month later.

Nope, rather you wait for the next iPhone.
If you have a spare phone just use the spare phone first.

If you really need a phone, maybe just grab one, else just wait. I am sure, if the 8 is coming soon, telco may have special promo to clear the older stocks so they can clear the old ones and start selling the new ones when they.

Apple releases their iPhone's yearly around september.

If you can wait, go for the upcoming release. If you can't, just get the iPhone 7. I believe iPhone's have long software-life support and don't get outdated quickly.

Just wondering, saw some places selling iphone 7+ in non standard iphone box without any accessories.

They said it's brand new, but quite weird since it only had the phone without any charging cable or earpiece.
