· Overview – Who the phone is for and my personal impression.

This phone is for users that need a spare phone that is very pocket friendly and/or users that have an Android Primary phone either personal preference or work requirements.

· Design & Display – Looks, feel, screen quality.

Despite the slim frame, the chassis is very rigid and feels solid in one’s hands. For those who drive, its like the difference between driving a Japanese and European car, the iPhone Air feels like the latter. The side profile reminds me of the Motorola Droid Razr Maxx that came about in 2012. Display is typical, looks and feels fluid smooth like the Pro Max.

· Performance & Software – Speed, gaming, multitasking, UI.

Typical IOS UI, smooth, snappy, runs cool if you are using it for just some multimedia consumption, texting, phone calls, etc. I don’t game so I can’t really comment but I tried running PUBG and its ran smoothly with no issues or stuttering.

· Camera – Photos, videos, low-light performance.

With sufficient lighting, the images captured are sharp, high quality and comparable to the iPhone Pro Series. Videos are the same. In low light however, images are grainy and noisy and there will be some software post processing to improve the image quality and noise is reduced but cannot be compared to the iPhone Pro Series. An additional wide angle lens would have made the phone camera system as an all rounder for me. If there is an Air 2, it would be great if Apple could add a wide angle lens. Overall, not that great if you like taking photos at night/low light conditions.

· Battery & Charging – Screen-on time, charging speed.

Due to the case I’m using, I’m mainly using wireless charging. Screen On Time averages at approximately 3 to 5 hours with about 20% battery life left. Wired charging is faster but iPhone charging is still pretty slow compared to its Android counterparts.

· Pros & Cons

Pros:-
  • Very Slim & Light.
  • Display is very nice and sharp like it’s iPhone Pro Series brothers.
  • Fast Performance with the same SoC as the Pros.
Cons:-
  • Very Pricey for the hardware on paper specs.
  • Only 1 Camera lens.
  • Battery while is sufficient for my use as a spare phone, would be great if it could be 20% bigger in terms of capacity.

· Verdict – Should people buy it? Who is it best suited for?

Yes if you are someone that carries more than 1 phone, needs a secondary phone to be IOS and for certain requirements.

No If you are a 1 phone user and do not want nor need to carry 2 or more phones and you use your phone heavily on a daily basis then this phone is not for you. In simpler terms, if you need your 1 phone to be versatile, do everything you need on a daily basis and have enough juice to last till the end of the day.

Personal Note: I have an Android as my main daily driver running quite a few apps in the background and concurrently, the iPhone Air has been a device I have been eyeing for quite awhile and it’s more for my personal recreation and for running certain specific functions that only IOS is capable to run. I personally like how the device looks, feel in the hands and its also snappy and fluid smooth. I do hope that Apple launches the Air 2, if not, I will keep the iPhone Air for quite abit longer. Do pardon my not so good English and its my first time writing a review for a device, hope it helps those that have been on the fence whether to get this device help them make their decision. Cheers!

Good or bad, every time I open Carousell apps, iPhone Air getting cheap and cheaper.
Should I get one ?
Today used price can easily match with used 2 years iPhone 16 plus 🤨

Rather wait for the Air 2, by then the choice is clearer.
But of course prices going to be different for the Air 2.

I have an Air as a work phone, but i find myself reaching out for it more often than my 17 pro due to the weight.

Imagine how heavy of iPhone 17 pro max.
Case + screen protector and camera lens protector = 300g 😅😅😅
After 2 months sold the phone and replaced with iPhone 17 , now wait for 18 pro

Same, Air offers the same experience as a regular iPhone sans camera and battery life. But I don’t take professional photos and I carry a powerbank outdoor, so the choice is obvious.
