Hi, just to share with you all my bad and good experience with the online purchasing from
singtel. Bought the SE online but within 2 days, the power button is faulty. Called the online support but was told that Singtel discharges all responsibilty and Apple is responsible now. Problem is Apple takes 5-7 days to repair; rendering me phoneless. Singtel should relook into its policy regarding this as it is not helping its loyal customers.

So Potential buyers, do take note when purchasing online; and don't bother calling the helpdesk!

The good experience was with Kevin Low. Went to Comms Center and he was very understanding of the situation and was willingly to help me get an exchange. I will now wait to see if Singtel will get back to me tomorrow.

unfortunately, whether you like it or not, its Apple policy.

All other phones can do 1-1 exchange within a week if purchased online or with singtel retail shop, correct me if i'm wrong..

What happened to your power button? Mine was stuck the next day I gotten of using. Currently waiting for apple to send out a new replacement (hopefully status will update tomorrow) while they will send a courier to get back my faulty set this weekend. :(

Lucky I bought from Apple Online, and they can send a brand new replacement. If not I'll have to deal with the service providers and get a refurbished set or repair. :o

Yeah same problem!! Button stuck in 2 days. Now got to REPAIR it... 5-7 days!!!

Lesson learnt, don't order from Singtel. Buy straight from apple store!!

it's not only singtel. the other two telcos also like that. it's apple policy. cannot blame telcos.

i agree that if u wan to buy apple products (w/o contract), best option is to buy from Online Store. any issues thereafter easier to deal with their customer support.

It's reported on internet is ip5se got power button issue

Actually those who got from telco can go direct to apple ask for a express replacement and waived the charges if u on AppleCare

But off course if don't want to pay a cent only way is go a lab

I got this issue before too lucky i got AppleCare and I go direct to apple and got it replace from a bad set from singtel too
