iPhone cannot start properly

I am using a jailbroken iphone with ios 5.0.1 and decided to update to ios 7 following its release. However, i forgot to revert the jailbreak by restoring the phone before updating and now my phone just keeps showing the apple icon and switching off and on doing the same thing. Can someone tell me how can i fix this?

Is there a SIM card installed on this phone when you update from 5.01 to 7?

Yes there was a sim card in it. I updated under settings over wifi.

Sorry to highjack this thread.
My ip4 was previously jbed & did a clean restore with ios 6.1.3. Then I updated with ios7 beta 5(without UDID. I know I am wrong) as I wanted to try it out. When official ios7 was out, I tried to restore my ip4 connected to iTunes & ever since, it was stuck on recovery mode. Past few days I had been googling for solutions (tinyumbrella, iReb, edit host name, restore in DFU mode), end results was restoring half way through it stopped with error 14. I had tried all methods & it just wont work for me. Did I brick my ip4?Any advise will be greatly appreciated.

Yes there was a sim card in it. I updated under settings over wifi.

I have managed to update my jailbreak iPhone 4 from jb 4.x ios to ios 7.. it is not smooth initially.. And I ended up entering DFU mode and restoring my iPhone 4 twice.

On the 3rd try, i inserted sim card and disconnect and connect usb sync cable.. AND it works and pass the DFU mode and have ios 7 installed on iPhone 4 without problem..

Which antivirus are you using? Maybe helpful to those who may have similar problem like you..

FortiClient! Might be the setting in it, so i stopped it from running & successfully restored my ip4.
