iPhone Charging using IPad Charger

I just want to check, earlier I was using the iPad Air 2 charger to charge my iPhone 6 plus I waited till it showed 100% and I off if unplug and took it out. After which I realise instead of 100% it showed 88% only and my phone was very hot. Anyone can advice me? Thanks

I was actually at my old house and there was no iPhone charger Except for e iPad Air charger thus for emergency I used it. Other wise I won't even use it at all.

Just wanna check if any Bros have any rational to my case. Thks

Nope. The iPad charger can charge the iPhone perfectly. It will also charge up the battery of iPhone 6 faster.

Been using my iPad mini 2's 10W charger to charge up my 6+ all the time including my previous 5s, no issues at all.

Like other bros said. iPad charger is ok and faster too. Do what I said to calibrate your battery.

I know and have read what other Bros said and I have been calibrating my batt once or twice a month(drop to 0% and charge it) I'm just curious or puzzled why after charging it using a iPad charger for the first time, it shows 100% but when I plug it out it drop or showed 88%.

dont need the ipad charger actually. i use the usb wall socket and one of the ports is 2A and it charges both ipad n iphone pretty quickly.

It's the battery protecting itself by discharging and charging up later.
