i am not using paid version of Transocks but I am subscribed to both Tencent TV and QQ Music.

Create the WeChat account linked to your Singapore phone. Link your WeChat account with your Singapore credit card and verify your ID. Then you should be able to use Wechat Pay to pay for the subscription of Tencent TV and QQ Music.

Read the posts in the WeChat Pay thread (page 46 onwards). But there are people who are having issues with Wechat Pay but okay with AliPay. For Tencent TV and QQ Music subscription, I think you can not use AliPay.

Ah, that is a good work-around, switch to China Apple App Store, so that you can have access to China version of apps like QQ Music and Tencent Video. And you can pay by Apple Pay.

I have never tried this myself but you can give it a try.


But you can get a China mobile number by using CMLink and pay for the add-on. Maybe you can just pay for one or two months.

These VPNs are not to be used inside China. They are used outside of China to access contents in China.

I have used AJS and Transocks myself.

To use VPNs inside China to bypass the Great Firewall is a different story. For the short stay I will recommend using mobile data roaming. Hosting VPN servers on the home router or the VPS may work for short visit as well. For long time stay, then there are various service providers using SS/SSR/V2Ray/Trojan/etc.

Traditional VPN service providers usually do not work for either use cases:
1) going into China for Entertainment contents.
2) going out of China (bypassing GFW).

Actually I have tried this trick before with iQiyi using 爱加速 AJS, because they allow you to use for free 20 mins per day. Once I have successfully started streaming a movie on iQiyi with the vpn turned on, even after the free minutes get used up, the streaming can still continue even if you pause and resume. When on desktop, you can even switch app while stream started and turn off the vpn and it will not affect the stream.

Hmm, which apps are you using? What are the movies you can not access?

I use Tencent Video and Youku video and pay for VIP, also paying for AJS, some movies will still requirement payment. It will be the same for Transocks.

Xiaomi China or some China companies using default apps like GiTV. Not sure whether AJS/ transock works.

GITV 银河互联网电视 (Galaxy Internet Television) should be similar to iQiyi TV version (银行奇艺果).

Sorry I am not using GITV or iQiyi myself so I do not know the answer.
