Apple care+ is a plus, not a must. But been apple first foldable phone, i would recommend buying apple care+.

Even for my current Samsung foldable into it's 8th gen, It's the first time i bought Samsung Care+. Foldable is still prone to wear issues, specifically with the hinge and screen over time. Best to get Care+. Moreover, the price of the phone is so expensive.

this time round I am contemplating between Apple care + or singtel mobile swop

pretty sure singtel mobile swap could doest not have a cheap option like $19 to replace the inner display
apple care + on the other hand does not cover theft and lost

AC+ any day over any other 3rd party coverage.
