Hi All Experts!

My Iphone 6+ still under Apple care+ is having issues with the Ring/Silent button as sometime even on silent mode but when using camera it will still sound.

My model is also eligible for iSight Camera Replacement Program for iPhone 6 Plus.

But I cant live a day without my phone and is too lazy to go and queue for servicing.

Base on what happened to my phone can i still ask for iPhone Express Replacement Service? Will i be getting an recon set? How mush do i need to pay?

Apple will first place the original cost of the iPhone on hold, ship you a replacement
And return release the money when they receive the faulty device.

Since your phone is eligible for the iSight camera replacement, i believe you can choose to do ERS just for that.. just check with Apple CSO directly and they will be able to advise, let them know you can't afford to make so many trips to AASP due to work etc and let them approve the ERS based on that. Just to confirm though, your phone wasn't bought in Japan is it? Cause the camera sound is meant to be always on in Japan and it would mean there's nothing wrong with your mute switch.

You should only worry when:

1. You request for ERS and your phone is found to be not replaceable under warranty terms (e.g. Very bad physical condition/water damaged) and you tried to get a free replacement instead of the Accident claim.

2. You do not send in your phone after you receive the replacement phone. Which in this case, you'll be charge the full price of the replacement phone which is put on hold when you initiate ERS.

ERS is a much better option as compared to dealing with the incompetent AASP. You'll receive the replacement phone FIRST before you have to send back, so you have time to transfer your backup etc to make sure everything work before sending it back within 7 days iirc. Most of the time, the AASP would try as much as possible to avoid 1-1 exchange. Even for dead/bright pixels or dust under screen cases, they'll just replace the screen now. Another risk of getting the loaner set is if you damage it during the repair, you'll have to buy it out.
