iPhone Plans with Android

Hi,

The telco informed that if I were to sign up for an iPhone plan, I've to use a iPhone throughout the contract. If the iPhone gets damaged or lost, I'm only allowed to use another iPhone and not anything else.

Any idea why this is the case?
What's the difference between the usual mobile and iPhone plans?

Seek anyone's advise or knowledge on this matter.

There isn't any difference between the iPhone and normal smartphone plans, other than maybe speed difference. In fact, I used the normal smartphone plans on the iPhone everything works as usual, at least on M1's network. Never try the opp though.

I signed iphone plan.... but using Android phone

no difference...

eh no issue, i recontracted an iPhone 6s last year and sold it while continue to use an Android.

Just to clarify, it is a local telco right.

To my knowledge, there is no such thing as an iPhone only plan.

Sim can removed and be used on any phone. (Since iPhones are nano sim, you would require an adapter should you wish to use it on a micro sim android phone for instance)

Telcos used to have plans specially for iPhone (and BlackBerry too), such as Singtel used to have the iFlexi Plans for the iPhone, along with the regular Flexi Plans. However, Singtel streamlined its plan lineups with just Combo Plans for all phones.

BIS plans are slightly different since they are catered for Blackberries - specifically the older BBOS ones and is required for BIS and BBM - hmm are they still available? Reckon they are.


For the iflexi plans, thought that those would be converted to the generic combo plans by now. So didnt think it still exists in this day and age.

Any data plan will work on Iphone and Android.

Only older Blackberry need some BB plan (nowadays nobody use therefore dun need to worry)
