Iphone power button

Hi peeps, for anyone owning iphone 4, 4s etc.. just want to ask have you guys tried self repairing the power button when it spoils?

My iphone 4's power button needs to be depressed harder in order to work... wondering if you guys have any lobangs recommendation on the way forward? Mine is > 2 years old fyi.. Thanks in advance for replies

I am having the same problem worst to both home and power button. There's a shop at golden mile repair both at 60. I went to see DIY replace home button, it require a lot dissemble before can reach the home button.

Plenty of shops in Sim Lim Sq repairing iphone & ipad devices. More or less standard price. If one button is $30, then perhaps can bargain for $50 for 2 buttons as the repair person needs to open up the device once only.

My previous 4S had the same issue just after one year of usage, sold it and bought a new one in Jan this year, the difference I paid is even cheaper than getting a refurbished set from QCD Tai Seng.
